Learn how to design, carve and print your own unique linocut print. What you will learn • Understand vocabulary and techniques of printmaking. • Understanding the steps needed to plan and create a successful print. • Develop your skills by creating a hand burnished one colour print using softcut lino and water based inks then moving on at your own pace to two colours or more complex designs on different materials Learn about materials and tools, cut and print a test print and then plan your first design. In the next sessions you cut and print your chosen design. Location Bude Methodist Hall Duration 10am – 1pm Arrive anytime from 9.30am for a 10am start. Workshop cost £120 per person for 5 workshops Workshop size Maximum of 10 students. Refreshments Tea and coffee available Previous experience Suitable for beginners with no previous printmaking experience. Please bring with you Think about the image you would like to design and carve into lino. This could be a favourite landscape photo, flower or tree image. Please bring some inspiration. Ideas will also be available if needed. Materials and equipment Lino cutting equipment will be provided for each student to use during each session. A reasonable amount of paper and ink will also be provided. Suitable clothing Please wear old clothes. Aprons and plastic gloves will be provided Cancellations See my cancellation policy If your workshop is cancelled due to rare unforeseen circumstances I will work with you to rearrange an alternative date that is mutually suitable.
Cancellation Policy
Workshop fees are non-refundable. No refunds can be made to those who fail to attend a course in full or in part. If you are unable to attend, we can try and resell the workshop place. If we successfully resell your place you will be given a full refund. If we are unable to sell your place then no refund will be given. You may send someone in your place, in which case we will need their contact details (name, e-mail address and telephone number) in advance.
