Lino Printing in BUDE 3hr Session

Service Description

Learn how to create lino prints in a friendly supportive environment. All materials provided. Spend 3 hours learning how to design an image to use and print as a block repeat pattern (or you bring an idea of what you would like and I will show you how to carve it! 🤩) You will then learn how to transfer this image onto lino, to safely cut it out, and then hand print it as a pattern onto blank cards ready to take home at the end of the session! * Learn how to design, carve and print your own unique linocut print* What you will learn • Understand vocabulary and techniques of printmaking. • Understanding the steps needed to plan and create a successful print. • Hand burnish/print using softcut lino and ink stamp pads onto blank cards. • Take home one or more hand printed cards that you can keep and frame or give as a gift. During the session you learn about materials and tools, cut and print your chosen design. Refreshments Tea, coffee and biscuits/cakes will be available. Previous experience Suitable for beginners with no previous printmaking experience or improvers. Due to the carving equipment used, anyone 12 years or older can join the workshop. Please bring with you If you have an specific idea about what you want to carve, then please bring a photocopy of this to work from. This is not required however. Materials and equipment Lino cutting equipment will be provided for each student to use on the day, along with blank cards and ink stamps to use for pattern printing. Suitable clothing Please wear old clothes. Aprons and plastic gloves will be provided if required. Cancellations See my cancellation policy. If your workshop is cancelled due to rare unforeseen circumstances I will work with you to rearrange an alternative date that is mutually suitable.
